{"id":774,"date":"2026-03-31T17:47:28","date_gmt":"2026-03-31T17:47:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/csnorris.com\/magus\/?p=774"},"modified":"2026-03-31T17:48:34","modified_gmt":"2026-03-31T17:48:34","slug":"last-train-to-carcosa","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/csnorris.com\/magus\/?p=774","title":{"rendered":"Last Train to Carcosa"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\">You have just witnessed a stage production of The King in Yellow.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\">You know you must reach Carcosa or go mad and perish.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\">You notice a message, nearly illegible, scrawled amongst other graffiti:<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p5\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><span class=\"s1\">LAST TRAIN TO CARCOSA: MIDNIGHT<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\">You immediately set out for the Station.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\">But making your way across Nyxopolis becomes a nightmare, as the avatars and minions of Nyarlothotep attempt to hunt you down before you can board the Train.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\">What\u2019s more, Nyarlothotep itself is manipulating reality in the City, so that it becomes a constantly shifting maze of impossibly moving buildings and roads.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\">It\u2019s a distinct possibility you will die trying to reach the Station.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\">But if you aren\u2019t onboard the Last Train to Carcosa, it will be a certainty.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp; You have just witnessed a stage production of The King in Yellow.
